Morgan and Max’s wedding at The Joinery felt like one of those days where everything fell into place. Their story started years ago on a camping trip in the Upper Peninsula, where a night of laughter turned into eight years of choosing each other. Max later proposed at his family’s cabin in Manitowish Waters after a slow day by the lake, a spot that already held so much meaning for them.

Their wedding carried that same easy, heartfelt energy. We finished portraits just before a light sprinkle of rain arrived, the kind that feels more like good luck than anything else. The Joinery’s warm textures and soft light made the perfect setting for genuine moments between family, friends, and the two of them.

They wanted the day documented as it actually felt: candid memories, simple joy, and the people who mean the most to them. Here are a few favorites that tell the story of their day.
